Design and Display of iPhone 5

This time, Apple has came with a large screen display of 4-inch in its iPhone 5. The device has a resolution of 1136 X 640 pixels, with a pixel density of 326 ppi. In spite of bigger screen size, the Apple’s new iPhone 5 is thinner and lighter than its predecessors, having dimensions of 123.8 X 58.6 X 7.6 mm and weighing 112gms. The reason for its lightness is that, iPhone 5 is made up of Aluminium and glass, who makes it 18% thinner and 20% lighter than iPhone 4S.

The device is featured with Retina display and sports a fingerprint-resistant oleo phobic coating on screen. The screen of the iPhone 5 comes with 800:1 contrast ratio and 500 cd/m2 max brightness. The device also has support for display of multiple languages and characters simultaneously.

In iPhone 5, Apple has upgraded its processor. The iPhone 5 is powered by the A6 chipset processor which has two times more faster CPU and Graphics than its previous version i.e. iPhone 4S. The new, A6 chipsets are 22% smaller than the A5 chipsets. Though, it is still not clear that, whether iPhone 5 is powered by a quad-core CPU and quad-core GPU or it has just a dual-core CPU with a quad-core GPU, as Apple has not revealed much details about the same. The new iPhone 5 sports a 8 Mega Pixel isight camera which can record HD videos (1080p) up to 30 frames per second and captures images up to 3264 X 2448 resolution. The front facing Facetime camera can record HD videos up to 720p with backside illumination, up to 30 frames per second. Price, Availability and Pre-booking of iPhone 5

The new iPhone 5 is available in three versions whose price vary from $199 to $399. The price of Apple’s sixth generation iPhone is $199 for 16GB model, $299 for 32GB model and $399 for 64 GB model.
